Medication directions using symbols
Abstract:  This handout for patients with minimal literacy skills provides space for the clinician to communicate the name, purpose, appearance, dose and dosing schedule for up to four medicines. An instruction page for the clinician is included, showing how to draw pictures of the pills included in each dose rather than using numerals, and indicating how to attach a sample pill to show medicine appearance.
