Acid reflux  
Abstract:  This handout explains what acid reflux is, why it occurs, and what can be done to manage or prevent the condition. Ongoing acid reflux is also called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Authored by Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, this information is made available to UWMC clinicians by agreement between SCCA and UWMC, as a service to the patients who visit both health care facilities.
