This CareMap gives timelines for the steps patients most often follow when having distal pancreatectomy surgery, with or without spleen removal. The CareMap starts before surgery with instructions on how to prepare, and finishes with instructions to follow after discharge from the hospital. It includes activity and self-care guidelines, dietary restrictions, medicines and treatments, and other important steps in recovery and follow-up.
