Abstract

This helpful handout is a checklist of tasks that need to be done after a death. These tasks include getting copies of a death certificate, finding out if there is a will, locating important papers, notifying Social Security, and canceling the many services that the person may have been using. It includes space for recording what company was called, the name of the contact person, when the call was made, and notes. This handout is included in the Bereavement Packet for UW Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center.
